MAC’S THREE WOLVES
The appeal of heading out into nature, and the feeling of escape it offers, becomes stronger as the weather warms. Whether it’s long hikes to remote locations, disconnecting from city life or escaping the summer heat, there’s a sense of renewal and of getting back to your roots. The rich history of beer is very much grounded in nature too, including the key ingredient that makes beer so incredible, hops.
‘Humulus lupulus’ is the Latin name for hops, which translates as ‘wolf of the woods’. Mac’s unique Three Wolves name is inspired by its principal ingredient, with the three ‘wolves’ in this case being Amarillo, Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin hops. This special pale ale is bursting with citrus and tropical notes and delivers a well-balanced bitterness.
