MAC’S GREAT WHITE
From the brewery whose founder, Terry McCashin, was credited with starting the craft beer revolution in New Zealand, comes Mac’s Great White. Back in 1981 Terry decided to challenge the two big players in the industry and start brewing his own beers. Since then Mac’s has gone from strength to strength, continuing to make award-winning, naturally brewed beer that has become a favourite among discerning craft beer drinkers. The thriving craft beer scene that Mr McCashin helped to create started as a bold dream, and today you can taste the passion and pride that drove Terry in Mac’s Great White.
Great White is Mac’s version of the classic Belgian witbier and has picked up a number of prestigious awards since its relaunch in 2006. Three bronze awards at the BrewNZ Awards, a gold medal at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2008, and best in class at 2014’s New World Beer & Cider awards, are all testament to its outstanding characteristics. Mac’s Great White has a cloudy colour and features fresh notes of coriander and orange peel, underpinned by a yeast-driven flavour.
