At the centre of his work is an examination of what it means to be a young Australian Muslim man in a political climate of distrust, racism and fear. Abdullah has also extended his practice to become a political commentator with a focus on promoting understanding of marginalised people. Already a leader artistically and politically, Abdullah’s future is bright but full of challenges.

Heavily influenced by the sound and aesthetic of her memories of childhood Cantopop – Rainbow Chan crafts a hybrid pop music dripping with emotive vocals and a patch work of influences.
